Who is Edith?

Edith is my daughter. The next generation “me”, just better. Besides everything else, she is my best and closest weaving buddy.

Last year, we had a mother-daughter designer appearance in “Easy Weaving with Little Looms 2019“, but today I’m thrilled to congratulate her on winning the Blue Sky Fibers Woolstok Design Contest of March 2020 on Instagram! For her “Riverbed Afghan” Edith used two “Neutral” Bundle Kits,  300g of  the beautiful new “Loon Lake”, and 300g of “Driftwood” of Woolstok. Woolstok is one of our favorite wools … the colors are stunning, the wool is a relaxing treat to weave, and the resulting fabric is amazingly soft with a great drape. Enjoyable all the way!

It took “only” three trips to one of our local yarn stores, Hill Country Weavers, until she had what she wanted, but I like those excuses to browse the yarns (and stock up myself).

 

Woolstok is perfect for all TURTLE looms with the “R” regular pin spacing. Edith used the Original TURTLE Loom™ for her design.

When she’s not weaving, Edith keeps herself busy as a Sophomore at Texas A&M University’s College of Engineering, and she loves to cuddle her cat, read books, and draw the most amazing things. You can follow her on Instagram at @ACEApropos.
