Celebrate with Us!

Today the United States Patent Office is issuing our second patent and we want to invite you to celebrate with us.

The weaving method for the Jewel looms is now patented as “CONTINUOUS STRAND WEAVING PENTAGON PIN LOOMS AND METHODS OF USE”, U.S. Patent No. 11,946,174.

The information has not yet made it to the Google patent search engine, but you can view the patent information at the United States Patent and Trademark Office USPTO … enter 11946174, click “Search”, then scroll down for the patent info (I will update this section when a direct link is available).

Since it is rather difficult to invite you all for cake …

here is A RAFFLE FOR ONE JEWEL LOOM instead. The winner will receive an Original Jewel Loom in R-regular or F-fine sett (winner’s choice). The giveaway is open to all, and it is simple to participate: Taking a break from filing patents (haha!), what should I/Gabi do more of? Should I make more/different looms, design more projects, organize activities like a weave-alongs, write pin-loom weaving related books? Tell me what you think!

The raffle is now closed. Congratulations to Megan McHugh for winning a Jewel Loom Kit!

We will ask Mr. Random to select a winner and make the announcement on Friday here on this blog.

  1. I would love more projects; a weave along would also be fun. I just love weaving on you looms and coming up with more ways to use them. Thank you for making these wonderful looms and making them so easy to use.

  2. Please make more patterns while I save more money to buy more of your looms! 🙂
Congratulations on the patent! That is so awesome!

  3. Congrats on the patent! I’m torn between new looms and a book — all of your suggested possibilities sound good.

  4. Congrats to Gabi on patent #2! So, you think we can decide on the path for Turtle looms? My choice varies from day to day… when I am busy weaving hexagons I dream of new shapes, challenging projects and tips from the designer. And then there is sharing with other busy weavers!! Wow… the future looks like it will be busy! I think we will need 2-4 hours added to each day!! Weave on !

  5. Congratulations on the patent. That’s a hard question because you do so much, but I think maybe more patterns or a pin-loom waving book.

  6. Wow congratulations, I love all that you do, but when you introduce a new loom you always seem to have a project to entice us, so that’s like a bonus, I vote for new looms!

  7. New to pin loom weaving and thoroughly enjoying it. Would love to win your newest patented loom.

  8. Congratulations Gabe! Well done. I’d love to see more patterns and WAL’s. You have the best ideas!

  10. Congratulations Gabi. A book sounds like a good idea. Always like books. They collect the info all in one place. I might be old school but the internet can get frustrating sometimes.lol

  11. Congratulations on the new patent. Decisions, decisions….I think all are great ideas. I am thinking new projects and maybe a weave along.

  12. Hi Gabi, Congratulations on achieving your 2nd patent! My husband’s grandfather worked as a U S patent attorney in the U S Patent Office in Washington DC , approximately from 1920 to 1960. I vote for a book, written by you, on all things pin looming and continuous strand weaving. It will be magnificent!!!

  13. Love the great great geometric options that are available to combine to make fascinating shapes and designs in weaving. All the best — !

  14. Hi Gabi,
    Congratulations on the second patent!
My preference for what you would do more of would be please design more projects — although I’m very grateful for all the projects you’ve already designed plus I’m amazed by both the quantity and quality of of everything you’ve accomplished!
    Thank you, Jude

Taking a break from filing patents (haha!), what should I/Gabi do more of? Should I make more/different looms, design more projects, organize activities like a weave-alongs, write pin-loom weaving related books? YES, any or all of the above 🙄😁

  19. Congratulations on the new patent, your looms are so well made and weave so well that I find it a shame that the Atlantic is such an expensive border for me… I wish you and I that you stay healthy for a long time, and have enough energy to share all your future ideas with us! Since I can hardly manage so far,
I have no wish to recreate everything I discover from your work.
