Ok, then. You’re here because you want to solve a mystery!
Before you start …
So that more people will have a chance to solve the mystery, I would like to ask all participants to not publicly share any information about their results until noon time US CDT on Friday, June 15th. I know this will be difficult for some, but let’s be good sports to others.
This mystery is optional and will not be needed to make the Weave & Stitch Along table topper.
All you need to do is to follow the embroidery instructions below. Work line by line to success. If you don’t enjoy it or get frustrated, just stop. You can always work the design once the mystery is revealed.
If you have any questions or would like help, please send me a private message on FB or Ravelry (TexasGabi), or email me at gabi@texasgabi.com.
And here are the MYSTERY INSTRUCTIONS:
You will need a ready to embroider hexagon or square loom with a woven fabric on it, like for the Weave & Stitch Along.
You will need 18″ of medium to thick yarn or thread (Lion Brand Bonbon or a little bit thicker is fine) in any one color of your choice.
All instructions are given in writing only, no photos, no video.
The name of the design is “The Echo”.
- Thread your yarn and make a slip knot on one end.
- Start and come up near the center of your fabric (you know how to do this from Week 2).
- Count 3 (threads) to the left and go down (bring the needle towards the back of the fabric).
- Count 5 (threads) down and come up (bring the needle towards the top of the fabric).
- Count 5 up and go down.
- Count 5 up and come up.
- Count 5 down and go down.
- Count 3 right and come up.
- Count 5 down and go down.
- Count 2 right and come up.
- Count 4 up and go down.
- Count 2 up and come up.
- Count 1 up and go down.

- Count 4 down and go down.
- Count 2 right and come up.
- Count 2 up and go down.
- Count 2 left and come up (at this point you will have a question. The answer is: Either way is fine. I think “under” looks better.
- Count 2 left and go down.
- Take a picture now. After that, if you want, use another color and add more echos on your own.
- Take “The Echo” off the loom. Weave in ends. Enjoy!
